R is for............................

RADIOS!

There is an awful lot in our house!

Some in bits or being repaired

Some go for sale usually here  which is open to the public

Some decorate the house like this one.  This one has its own stand which is rare.
At the moment the stand is housing my vintage needlework magazines, well its an ideal safe place!

  1. As long as they keep your husband busy and happy! My Mum always used to call the radio the 'wireless'. It sounds so old fashioned now doesn't it? x

  2. Sounds like somebody likes to tinker!

Did you know Radio is the wireless transmission of signals through free space - so Mr Wiki tells me in a ary interesttng article (half od which I couldn't understand lol) Explains how 'radio' came about and why they were called 'wireless' in Britain.
We have 3 small ones that are always on the same station - so I don't miss anything as I move from room to room!
    Take care
