Hi Julie! I'm so sorry 1 stick of butter or margarine is 1/2 cup. You can even use cooking oil if you don't have either one but they taste better....and you don't have to use 1/2, 1/3 of a cup is really plenty if you want to cut back on the fat....thank you so much for visiting my blog ~ xxoo, Dawn
