Underneath the pile of lovely juicy pears is a saying
I love Vintage, I love looking round
Charity Shops and Antique Shops
what do I do..............?
....................................and Museums!!!
So this year I have decided to do this............................
After reading Jan's blog,
and having already mentioned in a
conversation with her that..........
1. Use from stash.
Not to buy anything at all until 1st January, 2012.
(may need to buy reel thread or wadding to finish
a project - acceptable)
2. Be careful about what I spend.
Just purchase what is needed foodwise.
3. Only buy from charity-shops if I really need the item -
think very carefully first.
Pretty dresses for Caitlin - acceptable
4. DO NOT BUY anymore books
I have enough!
Search the particular out at the local library
can use Taunton Library and return locally
I'll let keep you posted on how I get on...................
Good luck - I think many of us buy things we have no need of and then end up surrounded with "stuff" I suspect that there are many bloggers who are resolving to consume less this year.

Best of luck! x
ReplyDeleteI like that saying very much. My dad is a local historian and he seems to have lived in the past most of his life. I tend to live in the here and now. Good luck with your intentions for the year. I have decided to laugh more, look for the positive side of things and not impose any more restrictions on myself!!! x
ReplyDeleteI am defiantly on a quest to buy less, I've made many many changes...
ReplyDeleteI wish you fun and luck with this!xxx
I would love to spend less too. I'm going to try hard not to buy anymore books.... not just for cash reasons but also space!!! :) x
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a brilliant idea to me!!! good luck xx
ReplyDeleteThis is the Bible for many bloggers! Good luck with your challenge!
