I am not a sports fanatic.

My pretty Hyacinths smell wonderful - can you smell them?
I thought I would settle down and watch a film.................

...........while I put the last few stitches in this gift which will be sent this week, I will let you see it when I know the recipient has received. The next items on the list are now to finish and parcel up the PIF's (Pass it Forwards) then normal services will be resumed, oh....perhaps not I have to finish Denise's quilt, but I will show you that as I stitch it.
The main terrestial channels seem to have SPORT today. As you probably can tell from my tone I am not a sports fan, nor do I watch Eastenders or Coronation Street or any of the like. Find me a good film I'm am very happy, thank goodness for the Digital channels. I have marked the film I plan on watching, yes.....I know it is a cartoon, and yes I have seen it before but I thought I would watch it again. I have seen Doctor Zhivago at least three times, so I don't really want to see it again. Perhaps I should be doing something else, I have prepared this evenings dinner Chicken Casserole, and planted a few bulbs and ironed last weeks washing, I really lead an exciting life, perhaps when the weather gets a bit warmer I will be outside more. I'm off for a cuppa, and the last of the jam tarts!

  6. Hate sport but love TV! Only tennis and cricket on here at the mo - or cartoons but the school hols finish on Wednesday so we will have a return of proper programs soon I hope.
Too hot to venture outside (34 C )so perhaps a dvd will do the trick when the housework is done!
    Cheers

  7. Not much on the tv. We watch the weather at 5:00 pm and 10:00 pm, and that's about it.

We do enjoy listening to audio books. No need to take my eyes off my needlework :^)

  9. I love sports and I watch most of it. Can't wait for the Winet Olympics, and we are saving hard to go to the 2012 Olympics.

However I am googled eyed and have one on the box and the other on my craft, two birds with one stone.

  14. I know what you mean about Sunday afternoons... they are the perfect time for a film of some sort, but, like you, I am always disappointed at the very poor selection! Oh well... I suppose that means I have to DO something instead!
I was wondering abut whether to pop to Exeter for the show this weekend... I've not been to this one before.. have you?
I hope you are truely inspired and I will wait to see what goodies you start to create as a result!
    Love Yvonne xx

  16. Yes I remember Sunday's TV. Arsenal were playing so Alan watched watched the game on TV as he supports them. I left him to it and went to the local Antiques Fair. later in the evening I was looking forwards to watching Larkrise to Candleford but the standby light kept flickering, no TV for the rest of the evening...
Luckily we had it set to record anyway. I watched it on Monday evening instead as TV decided to work again.

    Warm wishes
