  3. So true Julie. Most artists & craft people probably never get paid the real value of the time and effort that has been put into a handmade piece. I think you can appreciate the value of other people's work more if you make items yourself.

  4. Maybe those type of people think you have a magic wand, and that no effort or thought goes into any item. It's not just the making of it but the artistic idea behind it too.

  6. How true. I think people think handmade means that the maker should be doing it for love not money. Often I suspect the maker makes a very small amount, far less for the work put in.
