April Scavenger Hunt

I thought I would join in a scavenger hunt.  As I have never done one before, I thought it might be fun, and also gave me a chance to look at different things in different ways.

My Orange handled scissors.
They ask can we borrow your scissor, the reply what do you want to cut?
Show me..........

Amaryllis Sunday on Tuesday ~ week whatever..........and other tales.......

The second flowering.

This last fortnight has been quite busy.  Been to see my dad, entertained our very first next door neighbours who we haven't seen for about twenty odd years.  They were flooded out at Christmas, so they thought they would do a grand tour of old friends.

I celebrated my birthday on the 15th April.  I can now get concessions to places of interest and free prescriptions, but cannot have a pension or a bus pass.

Sunday we went with youngest son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren to Watermouth Castle

Had lots of lovely coffee and lunches and cake with lots of lovely friends.  Now I just want to settle back to a 'normal' if there is such a thing for a while

Identification please...................

I wonder if anyone can identify the flowers on these old transfers................
I want to make something with them, but need to know what colours to use, there are six flowers in the set, Poppy, Sunflower, Rose and Water-lily and these two.

Think they may be............

Look Up! continued.............

Continuing from  last week, I love weather vanes, especially the unusual ones.  There are loads between us and our big town, a stag, pair of owls, and a silver pig to name  three.  Some are just plain with the the North, East, West and South and a pointer.   The three I named I cannot photograph because there is nowhere to stop the car without endangering other road users.

These weather vanes I have taken on trips out......

Look Up!

The other day I saw a group of teenagers all were on mobile phones.  They were laughing, I'm not sure if they were laughing with each other or what they were seeing on their mobiles.  I suppose they could have been chatting and laughing with each other in code............  From the angle I was seeing them, one of them looked as if they didn't have a head.  Doesn't anyone notice their surroundings anymore?

You can see unusual skies

You can see things flying in the skies.  Years ago before the days of blogging I was waiting for my son to come out of school I heard a drone, I looked up and saw the Battle of Britain flight returning from somewhere, it was just the Spitfire and the Hurricane then.

You can see different beautiful historical architecture.

You can see beautiful murals painted high up on walls

You can see funny things too like this tree.
No.....they are not birds in that tree, they are pairs of trainers!

or this pair of seagulls waiting to travel to another destination.

But do check out at your feet too, you don't know what you might see!
Please though, take in your surroundings rather than just looking down at your mobile phones
