Didn't know it was there!

We have lived in West Somerset for twenty-five years but didn't know there was a WW2 Radar station on our doorstep!

Last Saturday the National Trust opened some properties for free and some properties were opened for the first time.  Normally this building is used for storage.

  1. Isn't it funny that we are not aware of what is on our own doorstep! x

  6. That's fascinating. Husband would be interested in that former radar station. I bet there's quite a few places local to me that I'm still unaware of xx

  7. Oh how I wish I could have visited this when I lived back down your way... but at least I got to see a few places in Norwich during the heritage open days last weekend.

Such a great idea to open places to us that we normally can't get near! (and great for satisfying my natural nosiness too!!)

  8. I love finding new places to visit, being surprised. I would have loved that. It's
London Open House this weekend. I mustn't let jobs get in the way, and go & visit something. It's always a treat.
